The largest fish caught on a Black Canyon Anglers trip was a Rainbow Trout measuring 27 inches! |
Prices are based on 2 guests and 1 guide per boat and include all rafting gear, camping gear, food, shuttle fees, horse pack fees, and federal user fees. A tip for the guides based on their performance is greatly appreciated at the end of the trip. Guests are responsible for their own personal gear - fishing equipment (rentals available), license, flies, sleeping bag (rentals available), personal clothing, etc. All trips begin with a van ride over a rough 4x4 road to the rim of the canyon. From there all guests and guides hike a moderate 1 mile trail down the Chukar Trail to the river while carrying their personal gear. All float trips cover a 14 mile stretch of river and take out downstream at the confluence with the North Fork of the Gunnison River .
Black Canyon Anglers prides itself on serving delicious food that includes hot breakfasts, tasty lunches, and gourmet dinner (filet mignon or salmon).
